Merry Christmas from Safer Travel

Safer Travel would like to thank all of our partners for the support you have given this year as we work together to make travel safer for all on the regions public transport network. As we approach Christmas, the network will get busier as more people travel for office parties and shopping and we need your continued help to safeguard vulnerable passengers. If something feels wrong let us know, in an emergency ring 999 or to report anti-social behaviour you can use our See Something Say Something facility by texting ‘SeeSay’ to 81018 with full details. In particular at this time of year our attention turns to preventing violence against woman and girls, including unwanted sexual behaviour. Our Project Empower campaign raises awareness of reporting of such behaviour, which includes sexual comments, harassment, stalking and inappropriate touching.  Remember nothing is too insignificant to make us aware of. So, it just leaves us to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to working with you for a safe 2026.
