A youth from Tipton, arrested during a knife arch operation at West Bromwich bus station on 27th September, has pleaded guilty to possessing 2 knives.
Officers from the Safer Travel policing team were supporting Sandwell Police with Operation Advance, with staff and officers from every policing department both locally and from a force level working together to deliver 24 hours of intensive policing operations across the borough.
The team deployed a knife arch and the 17 year old male was detained after he ran upon seeing the officers. He was searched and the weapons recovered.
Appearing at Wolverhampton youth court on 18th October he pleaded guilty and received an 8 month referral order.
Most importantly 2 more knives have been removed from public and will be destroyed.
