More Rail Station Cycle 'Surgeries'

Published: 19-06-2012

The Safer Travel Police Team have planned more cycle surgeries at rail stations this summer following the success of our recent surgeries.

We are raising the awareness of cycle crime prevention; the feedback from passengers and our partners has been very positive. We provide an opportunity for cycle owners to have their cycle marked with a unique identification mark and to be registered on a national database. The surgeries will be at the following stations on the dates shown:

Birmingham Moor Street 21st June 1500-1630hrs
Lichield City  26th June 1600-1900hrs
Sutton Four Oaks 10th July 1600-1900hrs
Wolverhampton        11th July 1600-1900hrs
Birmingham New Street  18th July 1600-1900hrs
Coventry       27th July 1700-2000hrs

The Safer Travel Partnership, in conjunction with Network West Midlands, are also able to offer police approved cycle security locks at a reduced price (while stocks last). Please ask the Safer Travel Police team at any of the surgeries if you would like any further information about this offer.
