Appeal Following Bilston Robbery

Do you recognise this man?

We want to speak to him after a 45-year-old Bilston woman had her handbag was stolen at around 12.40pm on Monday 29th January.

It happened as she was walking along Regent Street, Bilston, when a man approached her from behind and snatched her bag, causing her to fall to the ground. As a result she suffered grazes to her hands.

He is described as being black, slim, aged in his 20s-30s with a moustache and goatee beard. He was wearing a black Parka style jacket with a grey fur lined hood.

The man ran off along Regent Street and Elmers Avenue before boarding a Midland Metro tram from The Crescent towards Birmingham. He exited after just one stop at Bilston Central and was last seen heading towards the Horse and Jockey pub.

The handbag was later found near Chaplin’s Fish & Chips, missing a substantial amount of money, as well as an iPhone 13 pro max.
